1922 Peace Dollar BU (GSA Soft Pack)

0.7734 troy oz .900 1922 Brilliant Unc (GSA-Packaging)

In 1922, the Philadelphia Mint produced a striking silver coin that would become a staple of American currency for four decades. This Peace Dollar, struck in 0.900 fine silver, contains 0.7734 troy ounces of precious metal. Because it was minted in Philadelphia, the coin does not bear a mint mark, presenting a clean and classic design. The obverse displays a left-facing profile of Liberty. She wears a crown of sharp, radiating beams. This side features the stylized motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the date 1922. The design captures a sense of quiet strength and optimism. On the reverse, a bald eagle is perched upon a stone crag, clutching an olive branch as a symbol of peace. The inscription "ONE DOLLAR" is clearly visible alongside the bird. This particular specimen survives in brilliant uncirculated condition, offering a remarkably clear look at a design that circulated throughout the United States for about 40 years.
