0.7734 troy oz .900 1922 Brilliant Unc

In 1922, the Philadelphia Mint produced a silver dollar that captured a hopeful era. This coin, struck in 90 percent pure silver with a precious metal content of 0.7734 troy ounces, belongs to a series minted from 1921 to 1935. This specific issue features no mint mark, which indicates its origin at the Philadelphia facility during a massive production run of 51,737,000 pieces. The obverse presents a striking profile of Lady Liberty. She wears a crown of sharp, radiating beams of light, accompanied by the bold inscription of LIBERTY and the date 1922. The motto IN GOD WE TRVST is also visible, utilizing the classic Latin spelling style for the letter U. On the reverse, a bald eagle is depicted at rest on an olive branch, looking out toward a new dawn. Below the majestic bird, the word PEACE is clearly inscribed, giving the coin its famous name. Additional inscriptions surrounding the eagle include UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and the denomination, ONE DOLLAR.
