0.0715 troy oz .900 1923 Almost Unc

The 1923 ten cent piece stands as a beautiful example of early twentieth century American coinage. Struck in 90% silver, this dime contains 0.0715 troy ounces of precious metal and showcases a design that captured the spirit of its era. This particular specimen is preserved in Almost Uncirculated condition, retaining much of the original detail from the day it left the Philadelphia Mint. Created by the artist Adolph Weinman, the coin features a striking obverse portrait of a young Liberty. She wears a traditional Phrygian cap adorned with wings, a detail intended to represent freedom of thought. Surrounding her portrait are the classic inscriptions "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the year "1923". The reverse of the coin presents a powerful combination of symbols: a fasces, which is a bundle of rods bound around an axe, paired with a leafy olive branch. These elements represent strength and readiness for defense alongside a desire for peace. The inscriptions on this side include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", "ONE DIME", and the Latin motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM".
