In 1924, the Philadelphia Mint produced this magnificent twenty-dollar gold piece, a coin that represents the height of American numismatic design. Struck from 0.900 fine gold and containing 0.9675 troy ounces of the precious metal, this issue belongs to a series minted from 1907 to 1933. This specific specimen has survived the decades in extraordinary condition, certified by experts at the lofty grade of Mint State 67 (MS-67). The obverse side presents a powerful image of Lady Liberty moving forward, holding a lit torch to light her path alongside an olive branch. On the reverse, a majestic bald eagle is captured mid-flight, soaring across the coin's surface.
