0.0000 troy oz 1925 Very Fine

The 1925 five-cent piece stands as a classic example of American coinage, carrying a design that captures the spirit of the frontier. Sculpted by James Earle Fraser, the coin features two remarkably detailed portraits. On the obverse, the profile of a Native American man faces right, accompanied by the word LIBERTY and the crisp date of 1925. Turning the coin over reveals a powerful American bison standing atop a raised mound of earth. This reverse side includes the traditional motto E PLURIBUS UNUM and the denomination of FIVE CENTS. Because this particular specimen was struck at the Philadelphia Mint, it does not bear a mint mark, leaving the space below the bison clean and uninterrupted. This specific coin has survived nearly a century in Very Fine condition, showing the enduring quality of its copper-nickel composition. The design remains highly legible, offering a tangible connection to the art and style of the mid 1920s.
