1925-D Buffalo Nickel AG

0.0000 troy oz 1925 Almost Good

The 1925 Buffalo nickel struck at the Denver Mint represents a classic era of American coinage. This five cent piece, composed of base metal, showcases a distinctively textured design that has fascinated observers for generations. Even in an Almost Good state of preservation, the coin retains the unmistakable outlines of its powerful imagery. On the front side, the profile of a Native American chieftain faces right, a composite portrait created by artist James Earle Fraser. The reverse side presents a magnificent American bison standing atop a raised earthen mound. Just beneath this depiction of the great plains beast, the Denver Mint's "D" mark is placed, indicating its origin in Colorado, while the denomination of FIVE CENTS is clearly inscribed.
