The 1925 silver dime struck at the Denver Mint represents a classic era of American coinage. Minted with a silver purity of 90 percent, this ten-cent piece contains 0.0715 troy ounces of precious metal. Out of a total mintage of 5,117,000 pieces, this specimen survives in Very Fine condition, showing the enduring details of its original artistry. Designed by Adolph Weinman, the obverse of the coin displays a youthful depiction of Liberty wearing a winged Phrygian cap. This distinct headwear often led to the popular nickname 'Mercury Dime' due to its resemblance to the Roman messenger god. The words 'IN GOD WE TRUST' and the date '1925' are clearly visible on this side. The reverse side of the coin presents a fasces bound with an olive branch, symbolizing both strength and peace. The inscriptions 'UNITED STATES OF AMERICA', 'E PLURIBUS UNUM', and the denomination 'ONE DIME' encircle the central design, alongside the 'D' mint mark indicating its origin in Denver.
