1925 Peace Dollar BU
The 1925 Peace Dollar stands as a remarkable example of American silver coinage, minted at the Philadelphia facility with a total production of 10,198,000 pieces. Because it was struck at the main Philadelphia Mint, this issue carries no mint mark, leaving the focus entirely on its striking design. Each coin is composed of 90 percent silver, containing 0.7734 troy ounces of the precious metal, and has survived in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. On the obverse, the profile of Lady Liberty is depicted wearing a crown of sharp, radiating light beams. The year 1925 is inscribed beneath her portrait, alongside the traditional motto "IN GOD WE TRVST" rendered in the classic spelling. The reverse presents a powerful bald eagle perched quietly on an olive branch, gazing toward the horizon. The word "PEACE" is inscribed directly below the eagle, while the denomination "ONE DOLLAR" is clearly visible across the center of the design.
