The 1925 Peace Dollar is a striking example of American silver coinage, minted with 0.7734 troy ounces of 90 percent pure silver. This particular specimen has been certified in Mint State 65 (MS-65) condition, preserving the intricate details of its design just as it emerged from the Philadelphia Mint nearly a century ago. Because it was struck in Philadelphia, the coin carries no mint mark. On the obverse, a profile of Lady Liberty is depicted wearing a crown of sharp, radiating light rays. The year 1925 is positioned directly beneath her portrait, accompanied by the national motto of trust. The reverse of the coin presents a bald eagle perched quietly on an olive branch. Below the eagle, the word "PEACE" is clearly inscribed, giving the coin series its name and distinguishing it from its predecessors. The denomination of one dollar is also spelled out across the reverse field, framing the central eagle imagery.
