Struck at the San Francisco Mint in 1925, this ten-cent silver piece carries the quiet charm of a coin that has spent decades in circulation. It contains 0.0715 troy ounces of 90 percent pure silver. While the rim of the coin may display noticeable wear from its long journey through commerce, the core elements of its classic design remain visible, telling a story of early twentieth-century America. The obverse features a youthful depiction of Liberty wearing a winged Phrygian cap, a design created by Adolph Weinman. This distinctive headwear often led the public to mistake the figure for the Roman messenger god, giving the series its popular nickname. Accompanying the portrait are the inscriptions "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the date "1925." On the reverse, the design presents a fasces, a traditional bundle of rods bound around an axe, paired with an olive branch. This combination represents both strength and peace.
