In 1926, the Philadelphia Mint produced a run of 1,014,000 ten-dollar gold coins, struck without a mint mark. This particular specimen has survived the decades in an exceptional state of preservation, receiving a certified grade of Mint State 64 (MS-64). Containing 0.4838 troy ounces of pure gold within its 0.900 fine composition, the coin represents a fascinating era of American coinage before gold ceased circulating in daily commerce. The obverse of the coin showcases a profile of a Native American figure wearing a traditional feathered headdress. This central portrait is encircled by thirteen stars along the top border, with the word LIBERTY positioned above and the year 1926 anchored at the bottom.
