She stands holding a flaming torch alongside a scroll, symbolizing the light of freedom and the founding documents of the nation. The reverse side, also crafted by Sinnock, features a detailed rendering of Philadelphia's historic Independence Hall, where the Declaration of Independence was debated and signed.
