1926 Peace Dollar VG/VF
Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this 1926 Peace Dollar represents a classic era of United States coinage. The silver dollar contains 0.7734 troy ounces of silver, with a composition that is 90 percent pure. Because it was minted in Philadelphia, this particular issue does not display a mint mark. The obverse side of the coin features a profile of Lady Liberty, who is depicted wearing a crown of sharp, radiating beams of light. The date of 1926 is clearly positioned directly beneath her portrait. On the reverse, a bald eagle is shown perched quietly on an olive branch, symbolizing peace. The word Peace is inscribed at the very bottom of the design, below the eagle.
