The 1927 Peace Dollar represents a compelling moment in American coinage, notable for its remarkably low production numbers. Minted in Philadelphia with no mint mark, only 848,000 of these silver dollars were struck, making this issue the second lowest mintage in the entire Peace dollar series. This particular specimen survives in Almost Uncirculated condition, preserving the fine details of its original artistry. On the obverse, the design presents the profile of Lady Liberty wearing a crown of radiating light beams. The word "LIBERTY" is positioned above her, while the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" is split across the field, and the date 1927 is displayed clearly below her portrait. The reverse of the coin features a majestic Bald Eagle perched upon a mountain peak, resting on an olive branch as it watches the sunrise. The word "PEACE" is inscribed on the rock beneath the eagle, anchoring the coin's message. Above the eagle, the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "E PLURIBUS UNUM" encircle the rim, while the denomination "ONE DOLLAR" is split by the eagle's form. Struck from 0.900 fine silver, the coin contains 0.7734 troy ounces of precious metal.
