The obverse of the coin displays a youthful depiction of Liberty wearing a winged Phrygian cap, a design element intended to symbolize freedom of thought. Surrounding the portrait are the inscriptions "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the year of issue, "1928". On the reverse, the central design features a traditional fasces paired with an olive branch, symbolizing both strength and peace.
