Struck by the Banco de México, this magnificent gold coin from 1929 represents a classic era of Mexican coinage. It belongs to a celebrated series minted between 1921 and 1947, with this specific year seeing a mintage of 458,000 pieces. Each coin is composed of 90 percent gold, containing a substantial 1.2057 troy ounces of pure precious metal. The obverse displays the proud national coat of arms of Mexico, which depicts a golden eagle perched atop a cactus while holding a snake in its beak. This powerful image is accompanied by the inscription ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS, denoting the United Mexican States.
