With its wings partially unfurled, the bird appears poised to take flight into the sky. A pine sapling grows from the rock, symbolizing strength and renewal. Legible inscriptions on this side include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," and the "HALF DOLLAR" denomination, alongside the distinct "S" mint mark of the San Francisco facility.
