0.0000 troy oz 1931 Brilliant Unc

The 1931 five-cent piece from the San Francisco Mint stands as a remarkable example of American coinage design. Created by James Earle Fraser, this issue features two powerful, iconic subjects that capture the spirit of the American West. On the obverse side, a detailed profile of a Native American chief faces right, accompanied by the word LIBERTY and the date 1931. The reverse side showcases a massive American bison standing atop a raised mound. Below this mound, the denomination FIVE CENTS is clearly visible, along with the distinct 'S' mint mark indicating its origin at the San Francisco facility. Preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, this copper-nickel coin allows observers to appreciate the fine textures and bold relief of Fraser's original artwork just as it looked when it first left the coining press.
