In 1932, the Philadelphia Mint produced a run of 4,463,000 gold eagle coins, which would become one of the final issues of this classic ten dollar denomination before the nation moved away from circulating gold coinage. Struck from 0.900 fine gold, this specific piece contains 0.4838 troy ounces of precious metal. It has survived the decades in exceptional condition, earning a high grade of Mint State 65 (MS-65) along with independent verification of its premium quality for the grade. The obverse design features a profile of Liberty wearing a traditional Native American feathered headdress, with the date 1932 appearing below the bust. On the reverse, a majestic eagle stands proudly, surrounded by the national mottoes "IN GOD WE TRUST" and "E PLURIBUS UNUM". The denomination "TEN DOLLARS" is clearly inscribed at the bottom. Because this coin was struck at the main Philadelphia facility, it bears no mint mark.
