1934 Buffalo Nickel BU

0.0000 troy oz 1934 Brilliant Unc

The 1934 five-cent piece stands as a classic representative of American coinage, showcasing a design that celebrates the heritage of the American West. Created by sculptor James Earle Fraser, the coin features a powerful composite portrait of an American Indian on the obverse. The word LIBERTY is inscribed along the upper right edge, with the year 1934 clearly struck at the base of the neck. On the reverse, a massive bison stands on a raised mound, capturing the wild spirit of the frontier. The inscriptions FIVE CENTS and UNUM are visible on this side. Because this particular coin was struck at the Philadelphia Mint, it does not bear a mint mark, distinguishing it from those produced at branch mints. Kept in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, the coin preserves the sharp details of Fraser's original artistry, from the textures of the hair to the rugged contours of the bison.
