1934-D Peace Dollar AU-58 NGC

0.7734 troy oz .900 1934 NGC

Struck at the Denver Mint in 1934, this silver dollar represents a classic era of American coinage. The piece contains 0.7734 troy ounces of silver, combined with copper to achieve a 0.900 fineness. This particular specimen has been certified in About Uncirculated AU-58 condition, indicating it retains much of its original luster with only the slightest traces of wear on the highest points of its design. The obverse of the coin presents a profile of Lady Liberty wearing a crown of sharp, radiating light beams. Her portrait is surrounded by the classic motto of trust, with the year 1934 positioned directly beneath her bust. On the reverse, a bald eagle is depicted in a moment of quiet repose, perched upon a mountain crag and holding an olive branch. The word "PEACE" is inscribed at the very base of the design, beneath the eagle, while the "D" mint mark signifies its origin from the Denver facility.
