Struck at the Denver Mint in 1934, this silver half dollar is a remarkable survivor from the era, certified in Mint State 64 condition. With a composition containing 0.3617 troy ounces of 90 percent pure silver, the coin represents a total mintage of 2,361,000 pieces. It carries the distinctive 'D' mint mark, indicating its origin at the Colorado facility. The obverse of the coin features a graceful depiction of Liberty moving toward the sun, holding a bundle of branches while wrapped in the folds of the American flag. This side displays the year 1934 along with the inscription "IN GOD WE TRUST". On the reverse, a powerful eagle is shown perched upon a rocky crag, wings slightly spread as if preparing to launch into the sky. The reverse inscriptions include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", "E PLURIBUS UNUM", and the denomination "HALF DOLLAR", completing a design created by Adolph A. Weinman.
