The 1934 silver dollar stands as a remarkable artifact from a transformative era in American coinage. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this issue carries no mint mark, representing the standard-setting production of the main United States minting facility. Composed of 90 percent silver and containing 0.7734 troy ounces of precious metal, this particular specimen survives in Almost Uncirculated condition, retaining much of its original luster and detail. On the obverse, the design presents a profile of Lady Liberty. She wears a crown of sharp, radiating points, with her hair gently flowing backward. The date 1934 is positioned directly below her portrait, while the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" is inscribed across the field. The reverse side features a powerful yet serene image of a bald eagle perched upon a rocky mountain peak, holding an olive branch in its talons.
