1935 Buffalo Nickel Good+
The 1935 five-cent piece stands as a classic representative of twentieth-century American coinage. Created by sculptor James Earle Fraser, this issue captures a rugged, authentic vision of the American West. The front of the coin displays a powerful profile of a Native American, accompanied by the single word LIBERTY. On the reverse, a massive American bison stands atop a raised mound of earth. This side also bears the traditional motto E PLURIBUS UNUM and the denomination FIVE CENTS. Because this particular issue was struck at the Philadelphia Mint, it does not carry a mint mark, leaving the space below the bison clean. This coin survives in Good condition, showing the honest wear of a piece that circulated widely during its era.
