The 1935 Peace Dollar represents the concluding chapter of one of America's most celebrated silver coinages. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this issue carries no mint mark, a traditional feature of coins produced at the nation's primary minting facility. The coin is composed of 90 percent silver, containing 0.7734 troy ounces of the precious metal. On the obverse, a youthful Lady Liberty is depicted looking forward while wearing a crown of radiant light beams. The legend "IN GOD WE TRYST" is inscribed across the field, alongside the 1935 date. The spelling of "trust" with a "V" was a deliberate stylistic choice of the era, reflecting classical Latin inscriptions. The reverse features a powerful bald eagle perched upon a mountain crag, clutching an olive branch as it watches the sunrise. The word "PEACE" is inscribed at the very base of the design, underscoring the hopeful theme of the coin. This particular specimen has been certified in Mint State 62 (MS-62) condition, preserving the original luster and intricate details of this historic design.
