Struck at the San Francisco Mint, this ten-cent silver coin from 1935 is a remarkable survivor from the interwar period. Composed of 90 percent silver, the coin contains 0.0715 troy ounces of precious metal. It is preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, meaning it retains the original luster and sharp details from the day it was minted. The obverse displays a youthful depiction of Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap adorned with wings, a design element that historically led the public to mistake her for the Roman messenger god, Mercury. This side also bears the inscription "IN GOD WE TRUST" alongside the 1935 date. On the reverse, the coin features a fasces, which is a traditional bundle of wooden rods bound together with an axe blade emerging from the side, positioned next to an olive branch. The inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", "ONE DIME", and the Latin motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM" encircle this central design, showcasing the intricate artistry of the era.
