1935 Walking Liberty Half Dollar BU

0.3575 troy oz .900 1935 Brilliant Unc

The 1935 Walking Liberty half dollar stands as a classic example of United States silver coinage, struck in 90 percent silver with a total silver content of 0.3575 troy ounces. This Philadelphia Mint issue, which carries no mint mark, showcases one of the most celebrated designs in American numismatic history, rendered in a brilliant uncirculated state. Adolph Weinman designed the visual elements of this fifty cent piece. The obverse presents a powerful image of Lady Liberty moving gracefully toward a rising sun, her figure draped in the stars and stripes while she cradles a bundle of oak and pine branches in her arm. The inscription "IN GOD WE TRUST" is positioned in the field, with the year 1935 anchored at the bottom. On the reverse, a majestic eagle is depicted perched on a rugged mountain crag, its wings partially spread as if preparing to launch into flight. The traditional Latin motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM" is displayed alongside the denomination "HALF DOLLAR" and the issuing nation, "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA."
