1935 Walking Liberty Half Dollar MS-65 NGC

Struck in the mid-twentieth century, this 1935 half dollar represents a high point in American coinage design. The obverse features a graceful depiction of Lady Liberty moving toward a rising sun, cradling branches in her arm. On the reverse, a powerful eagle stands atop a rocky perch, wings slightly spread as it prepares to take flight. This particular coin was struck at the Philadelphia Mint, which is indicated by the absence of a mint mark. Crafted from 90 percent silver, the coin contains 0.3575 troy ounces of precious metal. Out of a total mintage of 9,162,000 pieces, this specimen has survived in remarkable condition, earning a certified grade of Mint State 65 (MS-65). The preservation allows observers to appreciate the intricate details of the original engraving, from the folds of Liberty's gown to the individual feathers of the eagle.
