Struck during the mid-twentieth century, this ten-cent piece from 1936 showcases one of the most celebrated designs in United States coinage. Often referred to as the Mercury Dime, the coin is composed of 90 percent silver, containing 0.0715 troy ounces of the precious metal. It is presented in Almost Uncirculated condition, preserving the intricate details of its original artistry. The obverse features a youthful depiction of Liberty wearing a winged Phrygian cap, a symbol intended to represent freedom of thought. This striking portrait, created by designer Adolph Weinman, is accompanied by the classic national motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the 1936 year of issue. On the reverse, Weinman placed a traditional Roman fasces alongside an olive branch. This combination of symbols represents both strength and peace. The reverse also bears the Latin motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM" and the face value of the denomination, designated as one dime.
