1936 Walking Liberty Half Dollar BU

0.3575 troy oz .900 1936 Brilliant Unc

The 1936 silver half dollar stands as a remarkable example of American coinage, minted in 90 percent silver with a precious metal weight of 0.3575 troy ounces. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this fifty-cent piece is preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, allowing the intricate details of its celebrated artwork to remain sharp and clear. Designed by Adolph Weinman, the obverse of the coin depicts a powerful personification of Liberty as she strides confidently toward a rising sun. In her arms, she cradles a bundle of branches, symbolizing peace and strength. The design is accompanied by the classic inscriptions "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the year "1936" stamped along the bottom rim. On the reverse, a magnificent eagle is shown perched firmly upon a rugged stone outcrop, conveying a sense of resilience. The words "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" frame the upper portion of the design, while the traditional motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM" is positioned alongside the eagle. The face value is declared at the base as "HALF DOLLAR."
