The 1937 Buffalo Nickel represents a classic era of American coinage, capturing a rugged and distinctly national aesthetic. Struck by the Philadelphia Mint, this five cent piece is notable for its lack of a mint mark, a traditional feature of coins produced at the main facility. Despite showing honest wear that places it in Good condition, the essential character of this mid-century issue remains clearly visible. On the obverse, the coin displays the powerful profile of a Native American chieftain, facing right. The word LIBERTY is inscribed along the upper right edge, with the year 1937 clearly stamped at the lower left.
