0.3575 troy oz .900 1937 Almost Unc

In 1937, the Denver Mint produced a silver half dollar that remains a celebrated example of American coinage. Struck in 90 percent silver, this fifty-cent piece contains 0.3575 troy ounces of precious metal. It represents a classic era of United States currency, showcasing detailed artistry on both sides of the coin. The front of the coin displays a powerful image of Lady Liberty moving gracefully toward the horizon and a rising sun. She carries a bundle of branches in her arms, symbolizing strength and peace. The inscriptions on this side include the year 1937 and the phrase IN GOD WE TRUST. On the reverse, the design features a majestic eagle perched atop a rocky mountain crag, wings partially spread as if preparing for flight. The traditional motto E PLURIBUS UNUM is visible alongside the country name and the denomination, which is spelled as HALF DOLLAR. This particular coin has survived in Almost Uncirculated condition, preserving the fine details of Adolph Weinman's original mid-century artwork.
