0.0000 troy oz 1938 Almost Unc

The 1938 Buffalo nickel represents the final year of one of America's most celebrated circulating designs. Minted in Denver, this five-cent piece is preserved in Almost Uncirculated condition, retaining much of the original detail and luster from the day it left the coining press. James Earle Fraser designed this classic coin with a deeply textured portrait of a Native American facing right on the obverse. The word LIBERTY is inscribed along the upper right edge, with the year 1938 positioned at the lower left. The reverse side features a powerful American bison standing on a mound, facing left. The Latin motto E PLURIBUS UNUM is visible above the animal's lower back, while the denomination FIVE CENTS is clearly struck along the bottom. This particular issue features the D mint mark, indicating its origin at the Denver Mint, bringing a classic era of American coinage to a memorable close.
