Struck at the Denver Mint in 1938, this ten-cent silver coin is a beautiful representation of twentieth-century American coinage. Minted in 90 percent pure silver, with a precious metal content of 0.0715 troy ounces, this piece survives in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, preserving the crisp details of its original engraving. The obverse features a youthful portrait of Liberty wearing a traditional Phrygian cap adorned with wings, a design element intended to represent freedom of thought. This striking image, conceived by Adolph Weinman, is accompanied by the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the 1938 date of issue. On the reverse, the design presents a fasces, which is a bundle of wooden rods bound together with an emerging axe blade, positioned alongside an olive branch. This powerful combination of symbols represents both strength and peace. The reverse inscriptions include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and the denomination "ONE DIME."
