Struck in 1941 at the Denver Mint, this ten-cent piece is a beautiful example of American coinage from the mid-twentieth century. Composed of 90 percent silver, it contains 0.0715 troy ounces of the precious metal. This coin is preserved in Almost Uncirculated condition, capturing the intricate details of its celebrated design. The obverse of the coin displays a youthful representation of Liberty wearing a winged Phrygian cap, a powerful image that traditionally represents freedom of thought. Alongside this portrait, the classic national motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" is clearly visible, as is the 1941 date of manufacture. On the reverse, the design presents a fasces wrapped in an olive branch, symbolizing both readiness for defense and a desire for peace. The Latin motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM" is also inscribed on this side. Designed by Adolph Weinman, this series is widely admired by enthusiasts for its artistry and historical aesthetic.
