The 1941 Walking Liberty half dollar stands as a remarkable example of United States silver coinage from the era of the Second World War. Struck at the Denver Mint, this fifty-cent piece is composed of 90 percent silver, containing 0.3575 troy ounces of the precious metal. Preserved in brilliant uncirculated condition, the coin retains the crisp details and luster originally imparted by the Denver coin presses over eight decades ago. On the obverse, the design of Adolph Weinman comes to life, showing Lady Liberty moving gracefully toward a rising sun. She carries a bundle of branches, symbolizing strength and peace, while the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the year "1941" are clearly inscribed. The reverse features a powerful eagle perched upon a mountain crag, wings partially spread as if preparing for flight, accompanied by the traditional national motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM" and the issuing country name.
