Struck in 1941 at the San Francisco Mint, this silver half dollar represents a high point in American coinage design. The coin contains 0.3575 troy ounces of silver, with a total purity of 0.900. It has been graded in Mint State 64 (MS-64), preserving the fine details of its original production. The obverse displays Lady Liberty moving gracefully toward a rising sun, cradling a bundle of branches in her arm. This side of the coin also displays the inscription IN GOD WE TRUST and the date 1941.
