Struck during a pivotal year in mid-century history, this 1942 silver dime from the Denver Mint is a remarkable example of American coinage design. Minted in 90 percent pure silver, the coin contains 0.0715 troy ounces of precious metal and displays the crisp details characteristic of a Brilliant Uncirculated specimen. The obverse features a youthful depiction of Lady Liberty wearing a winged Phrygian cap, a design element intended to represent freedom of thought.
