0.3575 troy oz .900 1943 Brilliant Unc

The 1943 Walking Liberty half dollar stands as a remarkable example of mid-twentieth-century American silver coinage. Struck at the Denver Mint during the height of World War II, this fifty-cent piece is composed of 90 percent silver, containing approximately 0.3617 troy ounces of the precious metal. Kept in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, the coin preserves the sharp details and original luster of its iconic engravings just as they emerged from the coining presses decades ago. On the obverse, the design by Adolph Weinman presents a powerful depiction of Lady Liberty walking gracefully toward a rising sun. Draped in the stars and stripes of the American flag, she cradles a bundle of oak and pine branches in her left arm, symbolizing both civil and military strength, while her right hand is outstretched in a gesture of welcome. The year 1943 is clearly inscribed at the bottom, with the national motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" positioned in the right field. The reverse displays a bold, majestic eagle perched atop a rugged mountain crag. With its wings partially unfurled, the eagle appears ready to take flight into the sky. A pine sapling grows from the rock, representing the spirit of a young and growing nation. The Denver origin is marked by the small "D" mint mark, while the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", "E PLURIBUS UNUM", and the denomination "HALF DOLLAR" frame the powerful avian imagery.
