Struck during the height of the mid-century era, this 1943 silver ten-cent piece is a remarkable survivor from the San Francisco Mint. Bearing the 'S' mint mark, the coin is composed of 90 percent silver, containing approximately 0.0715 troy ounces of the precious metal. It has been certified in an exceptional Mint State 66 (MS-66) condition, preserving the intricate details of its original manufacture. The obverse of the coin displays a youthful depiction of Liberty wearing a winged Phrygian cap, a design created by Adolph Weinman. On the reverse, the imagery shifts to a traditional fasces paired alongside an olive branch, symbolizing strength and peace. The Latin motto 'E PLURIBUS UNUM' is also clearly visible on the reverse, alongside the denomination of one dime.
