Struck during the penultimate year of World War II, this ten-cent piece from the Denver Mint represents a classic era of American coinage. Composed of 90 percent silver, containing 0.0715 troy ounces of the precious metal, the coin is a remarkable survivor of wartime production. It has been certified in an exceptional Mint State 66 condition, showcasing the crisp details of its original manufacture. The obverse features a striking portrait of Liberty adorned with wings in her hair, a detail meant to symbolize freedom of thought. This design, created by Adolph A. Weinman, is accompanied by the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the 1944 date.
