Struck in the final years of World War II, this 10 cent silver piece from 1944 carries the distinctive 'S' mint mark of the San Francisco Mint. Composed of 90 percent silver, containing 0.0715 troy ounces of precious metal, the coin is a classic example of mid-century American coinage. It is preserved in Almost Uncirculated condition, allowing the finer details of the original engraving to remain highly visible. The obverse features a youthful depiction of Liberty wearing a winged Phrygian cap, an image designed by Adolph Weinman that became popularly known as the Mercury Dime. The inscription 'IN GOD WE TRUST' is visible alongside the 1944 date. On the reverse, the design presents a fasces paired with an olive branch, symbolizing both strength and peace, accompanied by the denomination 'ONE DIME'.
