0.3575 troy oz .900 1946 Almost Unc

The 1946 Walking Liberty half dollar represents a classic era of United States coinage, minted in 90 percent silver at the Philadelphia Mint. This mid-century coin contains 0.3575 troy ounces of precious metal, carrying a face value of 50 cents. It survives in an Almost Uncirculated state, preserving the fine details of its celebrated design. Created by the artist Adolph Weinman, the obverse of the coin displays a powerful depiction of Lady Liberty. She is shown in stride, moving gracefully toward a rising sun while cradling a bundle of branches in her arm. The reverse presents a striking image of a majestic eagle positioned on a rugged rock, wings slightly spread as if preparing to launch into flight.
