1947 Roosevelt Dime BU

0.0715 troy oz .900 1947 Brilliant Unc

Struck during the post-World War II era, the 1947 Roosevelt dime represents a classic piece of mid-century American coinage. This ten-cent coin is composed of 90 percent silver, equating to 0.0715 troy ounces of the precious metal. Kept in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, it preserves the sharp details of its original design just as it emerged from the Philadelphia Mint. The obverse side displays a left-facing profile of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, accompanied by the inscriptions of LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRUST, alongside the 1947 date. On the reverse, three distinct symbols of American ideals stand side by side: an olive branch representing peace, a lit torch symbolizing liberty, and an oak branch signifying strength. The Latin phrase E PLURIBUS UNUM is woven through the design, framed by the legends UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and ONE DIME.
