1949-D Roosevelt Dime AU
Struck at the Denver Mint in 1949, this ten cent piece represents an early era of the long-running Roosevelt dime series. Minted in 90% silver, the coin contains 0.0715 troy ounces of precious metal. It survives today in an Almost Uncirculated state, preserving the crisp details of its mid-twentieth-century design. The obverse features a left-facing profile of Franklin D. Roosevelt. Surrounding the portrait are the inscriptions LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRUST, along with the 1949 year of issue. On the reverse, three distinct symbols are grouped together: a central torch flanked by an olive branch on the left and an oak branch on the right. These elements are accompanied by the traditional legends UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and ONE DIME, alongside the motto E PLURIBUS UNUM.
