The 1949 Roosevelt dime represents a classic era of United States silver coinage. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this ten cent piece is composed of 90 percent silver, containing approximately 0.0715 troy ounces of the precious metal. Preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, the coin retains its original luster, allowing the fine details of the mid twentieth century engraving to remain sharp and clear. On the obverse, the coin displays the left facing profile of President Franklin D. Roosevelt. This portrait is accompanied by the inscriptions "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the year "1949".
