Surrounding the profile are the classic inscriptions of freedom and faith, including the word "LIBERTY" and the national motto "IN GOD WE TRUST," alongside the mid-century date. The reverse of the coin presents a detailed depiction of the Liberty Bell, complete with its famous crack. To the right of the bell, a small eagle with spread wings is visible, satisfying the legal requirement for the denomination. The inscriptions on this side include the name of the issuing nation, the face value of "HALF DOLLAR," and the traditional Latin phrase "E PLURIBUS UNUM."
