1950-D Roosevelt Dime BU
The 1950-D Roosevelt dime represents a classic mid-century moment in American coinage. Struck at the Denver Mint, this piece is composed of 90 percent silver, containing approximately 0.0723 troy ounces of the precious metal. Preserved in brilliant uncirculated condition, it retains the crisp details and luster from the day it was minted. On the obverse, the profile of President Franklin D. Roosevelt faces left. The design is accompanied by the inscriptions LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRUST, along with the 1950 year of issue. The designer's initials, JS, are visible near the base of the neck. The reverse side displays a rich combination of symbolic imagery. A central lit torch represents liberty, flanked by an olive branch on the left symbolizing peace, and an oak branch on the right representing strength and independence. The legends UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and ONE DIME frame the design, while the motto E PLURIBUS UNUM is woven throughout the background.
