The 1950 Franklin Half Dollar stands as a classic mid-century silver piece, struck at the Philadelphia Mint with no mint mark. This particular specimen is graded in Mint State 65 (MS-65) condition and has earned the coveted Full Bell Lines (FBL) designation, which indicates an exceptional level of detail on the reverse design. Containing 0.3575 troy ounces of 90 percent pure silver, the coin represents a time when precious metal circulated freely in American commerce. Designed by sculptor John R. Sinnock, the obverse features a clean, right-facing profile of Benjamin Franklin, one of America's most famous founding figures.
