0.0715 troy oz .900 1950 Brilliant Unc

This ten cent piece from 1950 represents a classic era of United States coinage, struck in a composition of 90 percent silver. With a precious metal content of approximately 0.0715 troy ounces, this coin is preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, maintaining the sharp details of its original engraving from the Philadelphia Mint. The obverse displays the left-facing profile of President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Surrounding his portrait are the classic inscriptions of LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRUST, along with the mid-century date of 1950. The designer's initials, JS, are subtly placed near the base of the neck. On the reverse, three distinct symbols of American ideals are arranged side by side. An olive branch, symbolizing peace, sits on the left; a central torch represents liberty; and an oak branch, signifying strength, is positioned on the right. Woven through these elements is the traditional Latin motto E PLURIBUS UNUM, while the outer rim is inscribed with UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and the denomination, ONE DIME.
